It’s no great surprise that the participants named lead generation and sales as the top 2 concerns, when it comes to internet marketing strategy, and that search engine optimization (SEO) topped the chart as the best way to generate leads and sales.
Business to Business: 46% say the most important objective is to generate leads.
Business to Consumer: 40% say the most important objective is to generate sales.
SEO makes the biggest difference, right now fro both, followed by PPC and Social Media
Social Media Impact
So, what are the top social media networks? Facebook is the top social network, followed by Twitter and LinkedIn. I have to say, it’s my personal opinion that many of the other marketing companies and businesses are missing the boat when it comes to video marketing and using YouTube to promote their website.
75% of Businesses to Consumer companies are active on Facebook, then 8% on Twitter and 6% on LinkedIn.
Only 35% of Business to Business companies are active on Facebook, followed by 26% on Twitter, and 25% on LinkedIn.
68% of marketers surveyed say they have generated leads from Social Media Sites. Over 55% have closed deals from Social Media.
